Buy British Day 2016

Saturday is Buy British Day.   Buy British Day aims to boost the awareness of the provenance of what we buy and the increased quality that comes with products that have been made within Britain.

Buy British Day

The Made in Britain status has become increasingly important to international consumers rather than those at home in the UK.   Buy British Day aims to change this and shine the spotlight onto British brands and manufacturers. The British economy and indeed the British psyche depend on consumers buying British, not just on this one day but all year round.

The stories that come with British made brands are often fascinating.  These are stories of how they started, their early struggles, their growth and their values that make them the businesses that they have become.

Supporting British manufacturing is an integral part of the Holland Cooper ethos.  All of our luxury tweed garments are designed, individually hand cut and handmade in Great Britain.  We source all of our tweed from old Scottish and Yorkshire mills, which have a fantastic heritage.

Having seen a gap in the market for stylish, modern tweed wear, Holland Cooper was established in 2008 by Jade Holland Cooper.   Initially hand cut and handmade by Jade, the business started out selling brightly coloured tweed skirts and shorts.  From there, Holland Cooper has grown from strength to strength.   Despite this growth and the introduction of a number of factories, all tweed garments are still individually hand cut and handmade, which makes the business stand out from its rivals.   Trading British has been at the forefront of Jade’s strategy since founding the company.

We are proud that all our products are all handmade in England.  As a thank you to everyone who supports the brand, we would like to offer you 10% off the collection from today until Monday 3rd October.  To take advantage of this offer, please enter the code ‘BUYBRITISH’ at the checkout.

Happy shopping!
