Holland Cooper's extensive internship scheme has been running for over 2 years with a huge success rate. Jade Holland Cooper was keen to set this scheme up after realizing how tough it was for students to get their foot in the door within the industry. A degree is no longer good enough to secure high flying jobs within the fashion world and employees are now looking for extensive experience. Within Holland Cooper you can get a full understanding of each aspect within fashion from production to web design.
Interns that have done a scheme at HC HQ have either been offered jobs within the team if they really impress, or have left here to join LCF or land big jobs within the fashion industry.
So what is on Offer?
We have four vacancies available in our exciting internship scheme.
Spaces available include Sales & Marketing intern, Web design, Office intern and Creative & Production Intern. All of these positions are for a minimum of 4 – 5 months with varying start dates; we also offer 1 year placements as part of your university degree.
New – IT/Website Intern
This is a new internship role that has become available due to the huge growth of the Holland Cooper online side to marketing. We are looking for an individual that has great computer skills, thinks out of the box and is familiar with the use of Photoshop. This would be ideal for someone who would like to enter into the advertising industry or website design. This is an exciting position and will allow you to take ownership of certain aspects of the website and work under an experienced marketing team.
You will be involved in Holland Cooper’s marketing and communication every step of the way to meet weekly sale targets. With every HC campaign new and exciting they will also have the opportunity to attend fashion shows, photo shoots & more.
From this in-depth internship you will come away with a comprehensive understanding of website and promotional marketing. You will also have full understanding of SEO optimization and technics that improve this.
Sales and Marketing Intern
This individual will work alongside our head of sales & marketing. This varied role will include everything from brainstorming campaigns to processing sales, updating the website content to communicating with thousands of HC fans using our online marketing tools.
You will be involved in Holland Cooper’s marketing and communication every step of the way to meet weekly sale targets. With every HC campaign new and exciting you will also have the opportunity to attend fashion shows, photo shoots & more.
This person must be friendly and confident with a good focused work ethic ready to work within a fast paced team.
You will take away from this internship the ability to multi-task, meet sales targets, design & develop website content, as well as brainstorming & implementing marketing campaigns. This will not only shine on your CV but will also add to the portfolio of projects you have been involved in. This internship offers the chance of great achievements.
Office/ IT Intern
This role will include all aspects of the running of a busy fashion studio. They will have the opportunity to work alongside production, sales & marketing teams. This internship is great if someone is unsure which area of fashion they would like to pursue as this position offers a mixture of everything.
Students will assist with the management of phone calls where they will establish relationships with everyone from suppliers to wholesalers, customers to press. They will be heavily involved with the promotion of Holland Cooper and will also update the website content, prepare orders for shipment and aide production with the finishing of garments. This person must be friendly and confident with an adaptable work ethic and be ready to work within a fast paced team.
You will take away from this internship the ability to multi-task, design & develop website content, promote a strong and growing brand along with practical production skills essential for the making of any garment. This will not only shine on your CV but will also add to the portfolio of projects they have been involved in. This internship offers the chance of great achievements.
Creative & Production Intern
This individual will work alongside the head of production. You will be taught in depth cutting skills and how to use an embroidery machine. You will learn the initial process of the production of all our tweed wear lines and the complete production of sportswear.
Students do not need to have completed a fashion degree to apply for this role however they must be willing to learn; an interest in textiles and production would be beneficial. This person must be organized, thorough and have an eye for detail.
Candidates must be able to drive.
