Alice McCullagh

Holland Cooper has been sponsoring Alice McCullagh over the past year and with many successes to date she is definitely one to watch.

2010 proved Alice McCullagh Holland Cooper Sponsor a successful year, winning two Royal International and two HOYS qualifiers as well as wins at Midland Counties and the Royal Highland. Alice also qualified a 5 year old for the Intermediate Working Hunter at HOYS and finished the year with a fantastic performance and a 4th in the 15h WHP Final at the Horse of the Year Show.

Consistent results meant that Alice and her 15hh were picked to represent England in the European Working Hunter Championships in Cavan winning Team Gold. Alice led the way in the dressage and put in some great clear Alice McCullagh Holland Cooper Sponsor rounds to secure the medal.

A highlight of the year was at the BSPS Summer Championships Show in August, where Alice picked up two wins, two seconds and two thirds, in the Gold Cup, Desert Orchid, England Teams and Champion of Champions.

Alice is a multi disciplined rider who competes in all areas of equine sport and is experienced in competition since the age of 5.

She has represented England in the British Show Pony Society Working Hunter Pony Teams since 2002, including two Europeans, achieving Individual and Team Gold and has competed and had wins at HOYS and Hickstead, with both workers and showjumpers, including Champion Working Hunter Pony of the Year at the Horse of the Year show in 2007.

Alice McCullagh Holland Cooper Sponsor At the age of 16 Alice attained an Amateur race licence and enjoyed competing in four races in 2008 on the flat and over hurdles.

Alice has three show horses for next year and is currently working with young horses and developing a string for competition in Working Hunters, British Eventing and Show Jumping.

Alice is being trained by the International Showjumper, Paul Barker from Yorkshire and the dressage instructor Ian Woodhead.

Alongside her riding, Alice is also currently studying Politics at Manchester University.
