A Need for Tweed!
Country wear is revolutionising the fashion world this coming autumn, and many items are making their way into stores and online right now.
One of the exhibitors, Holland Cooper, is at the vanguard of a new breed of designers taking country wear to stunning new heights, offering sassy nipped-in jackets and cute tweed mini skirts for its young female fan base, and flamboyant suiting for the boys. The label was started by farmer’s daughter Jade Holland Cooper, 24, aiming to combine urban chic and English eccentric inspiration in her
designs, and all her jackets are made in Yorkshire.
Meanwhile Musto is a brand that makes super-stylish equestrian wear that can easily be worn outside the stables and showgrounds, with well-cut and colourful striped polos, jodhpurs and jackets for men and women. Well worth a look.
But it’s not just specialist labels that are offering country and equestrian wear as both form a major trend for the upcoming season, meaning that there are oodles of tweed jackets, jodhpurs, breeches, padded gilets and country style hats for everyone. Come September, all we’ll need is a nice new tractor.
