Congratulations to all the team for such a fantastic result!!
Holland Cooper was delighted to sponsor the Great British Junior Team at the European Pony Championships, held at Bishop Burton College near Hull this year.
The team, consisting of Grace Walker, Sophie Beaty, Sam Ecroyd, Alfie Bradstock, Sophie How and Harry Humfrey took the eventing team gold, above Germany and Belgium in silver and bronze respectively. This fantastic result was made even more special with the competition being on home soil and the win ending their three-year wait to regain the title.
Not only did the team win gold, but also individually they all rode superb rounds and occupied most of the top 10 places. All six of British riders had clear rounds on the testing cross-country course and was the only nation to do so. The individual gold went to Germany’s Marissa Braig with silver going to Britain’s Grace Walker and the ever-reliable Noble Springbok. Britain’s Sophie Beaty and Done and Dusted narrowly missed out on bronze medal position by just 0.3 penalties to put Ireland’s Sarah O’Brien into bronze.
Holland Cooper supplied the ‘trot up’ outfits for the entire eventing team, with the girls in Navy Poachers Waistcoat and Cooper Kilts, and the boys in Rust waistcoat.
